Very disappointed, wouldn't recommend. Positive: Leaving after one night although I booked two nights. Negative: We were very disappointed with the property, the photos are misleading, in reality the cottage is in need of a complete upgrade, particularly the kitchen. Decades old cupboards, grubby inside. We didn’t cook as didn’t want to use the pots and pans, the spatula was greasy. A steep step down into the kitchen is an accident waiting to happen. Windows covered in dust, ill fitting curtains. Garden overgrown, not condusive to sitting outside. The side alley leading to the front door was difficult to navigate and overgrown with weeds, creepy when coming back to the property at night after dark. Lack of fans especially as it was the hottest day of the year, poor response when reported. Upstairs bathroom cramped and unsafe. Outrageous that a £75.00 cleaning fee was charged when the property was in such a poor state. Also a 10% city tax surely is not right, this is usually charged in big cities like Edinburgh, Manchester, London etc not a small village like Otford.
